Fridays A were held to a mind-boggling 4-4 draw vs Falcon FC today.

Alex McAfee scored two more and Dan Flaherty and Alex Eagle got on the scoresheet. However, a series of errors in defence allowed Falcon to lead twice and then come from 4-2 down to snatch a point.

On a pitch that in places resembled a beach, in others a swamp and yet other permafrost, attractive football was going to be unlikely and Fridays proved this point successfully. Keeper Luke Chappell pulled off some fine saves and was involved in some controversy over a Falcon penalty appeal that the referee turned down.

Manager Chris Taylor was philosophical "We had to make a lot of changes to the team, more so than usual. We played OK in parts but we didnt really dominate and there was always the risk that the opposition would spring into life. Unfortunately our defending was poor today. We should be positive, though, because we didnt lose and we created a lot of chances as well. Which was just as well since we defended so badly!"

The manager was last seen heading off to ask everyone if they had heard about his cross for the third goal or his goal-line clearance.
